A man in a suburban neighborhood was shocked when a massive eagle landed in his front yard. At first, he was unsure why the bird had chosen to land there, but upon closer inspection, he noticed that the eagle had a leg band indicating it was likely a trained bird. Concerned for the bird’s well-being, the man immediately called 911 for assistance. Wildlife officials were able to safely capture the eagle and determine that it had escaped from a nearby falconry. The eagle was safely returned to its owner, and the man was relieved that the majestic bird was unharmed.
