An elderly man walked into a diner alone, looking tired and lost. The staff noticed him sitting at a table by himself, staring out the window with a distant look in his eyes. As they served him his meal, they observed tears welling up in his eyes. When they asked if he was okay, he simply shook his head and said he was feeling lonely. The staff couldn’t bear to see him so sad, so they sat down with him, listened to his stories, and kept him company throughout his meal.
