An old veteran was denied access onto a plane because he did not have the proper identification. Frustrated and upset, the veteran made a phone call to try and resolve the issue. As he spoke with someone on the other end of the line, the crew members turned pale and quickly allowed him to board the plane. It was later revealed that the veteran was a highly decorated war hero and was given special permission to fly without the required identification. The crew members were in shock at their mistake and immediately apologized for the oversight.
