An elderly woman agreed to a veteran’s offer for a ride home, grateful for the kind gesture. However, as they drove, she began to feel uneasy as they passed familiar landmarks that were not on the way to her house. Realizing her mistake, she mustered up the courage to speak up and ask the veteran where they were going. The veteran, confused, apologized and admitted that he had misunderstood her directions.
