My husband insisted that I shouldn’t attend his father’s funeral, claiming that it would be too difficult for me. However, when I saw who he was with at the funeral, I understood his reasoning. He was with his ex-girlfriend, who he had always claimed was just a friend. I felt betrayed and hurt that he would choose to be with her during such a difficult time, instead of supporting me. It made me question our relationship and whether I could trust him again.
