A man driving down a rural road noticed a large bison standing in the middle of the road, blocking traffic. Concerned for the safety of both the bison and passing cars, the man decided to approach the animal and try to coax it off the road. As he got closer, he realized that the bison was not moving and seemed disoriented. It was then that he noticed the bison had a large gash on its side and was clearly in distress. The man quickly called for help and waited with the injured animal until wildlife officials arrived to provide medical assistance.
