An Asian elephant in a wildlife sanctuary in Thailand has amazed researchers by teaching itself how to shower using a hose. The elephant, named Peter, was observed watching caretakers using a hose to spray water on themselves and other elephants. Over time, Peter began mimicking their actions and eventually figured out how to manipulate the hose to spray water on himself. This behavior demonstrates the intelligence and adaptability of these majestic animals, as well as their ability to learn new skills on their own. Researchers hope that further study of Peter and other elephants in the sanctuary will provide valuable insights into their behavior and cognitive abilities.
